@Jacob16 yes, league rules.
I was afraid of losing a ftr, but I had already been forced to move both subs. bah. oh well, it is a dice based game

If a nation that lost its cap plunders a cap, can they use the plundered money?
No, as the player skips all but the Combat Move, Conduct Combat, and Noncombat Move phases until the capital is liberated.
Do they keep the money or is it destroyed?
You collect these IPCs even if your own capital is in enemy hands.
Are the old games / game threads archived anywhere?
I wanted to have a look at some old OOB playoff games, but noticed that in “Post League Game Results Here” there is no result from before the year 2018.
Some Playoff games in the league rankings spreadsheet show a game ID. But entering these into the URL leads to an error message (“not found”).
Does anyone know, or is this rather a question for Dave Jensen? It would be a pity if legendary OOB battles would be lost forever.
Yes, ask Dave, maybe they were archived off-line.
There would be some hope that a player involved in one of those old games actually saved the file themselves. Ask them if they have it. You would probably also need to install an old version of Triple A.
Depending on how badly you want one, it is possible to reconstruct them if the Triple A game summaries are intact. I haven’t had enough time to get very far, but I am reconstructing the 2013 OOB championship game. So far it’s worth it, the G1 was wild. Let 110 (and 111?) go, used the aircraft to overwhelm Paris, sending fast movers immediately at Russia, complete with a slingshot on Yugo.
Thank you - I will ask Dave and eventually some players
Ghostglider v gamerman01 2014 champ J2.tsvg
Here’s G1 and R1 of the 2014 championship
I was putting it together in case crockett36 wanted to review an old one
But yes, exhaust options 1 and 2 first.
I thought I would have saved my old save files, but maybe didn’t survive transitions to new computers over the years
Where did you get the old game results before 2018 from? Is there another thread than “Post League Game Results Here”?
Ah, forget about the last question - I did not think of the League Ranking table which I mentioned myself, LOL :-)
@Martin Yes, we used to have a separate thread for each year.
2017 - 28656
2016 - 26706
2015 - 24308
2014 - 21921
2013 - 18628
Those will point you to the actual games.
Yes, the league rankings spreadsheet goes all the way back, and so does the current ELO spreadsheet - dates, players, sides, who won, bids
Awesome - thank you very much! I will look into this and maybe post a few final games for the ones who might be interested. If and once I find them.
Let us know what Dave says, and maybe just put out the general call (like I guess we are right now) for any players who actually saved Triple A files from many years ago.
Kind of surprised mine only go back to 2020
But again, for a particularly momentous game, they CAN be re-created. At least until they’re not interesting any more.
I did not understand what you were talking about with “recreating games”, until I noticed that only the game history is shown in these old threads but not the saved game posted.
How did that work? Were the saved games only shared by email and not posted?
Re-creating must be a nightmare with millions of edits…

They were deleted to make space on the site.
@Adam514 that makes sense - thank you
See what Dave says - hopefully he moved them off-line but I’m not holding my breath.
Yeah I’m just saying it’s possible to recreate them from the posted text. You don’t have to edit everything, you can make the purchases and moves and then edit to the dice results.
Not as tedious as entering in all past game results to the ELO spreadsheet back to 2011. But tedious enough you’d only want to do it for the best games.
Do we have statistics for 2023 - percentage of wins by axis, and the same for allies
OOB
BM
PTV
and overall?
thanks
@MrRoboto is the designer and computer guy who could easily do that but he’s been away several weeks
He needs to show me some things about his system in case he’s gone.
2023
overall
123 Axis : 101 Allies
OOB
34 X : 19 L
