Another question. Italy declared war on China and the USSR. I thought maybe that would mean I could move Soviet units into China on my noncombat but it didn’t let me. I assume that is not a glitch but simply a requirement that the Soviets declare war on Japan in order to move into China.

Yes, as you said. Russia must DOW on Japan to move into China (including the consequences that has on the Russian NOs, e.g. that Japan blocok the Amur NO from then.
And WTF, what did you do to the US fleet? Annihilated at +78 with no counter? Japan has all DEI, 3 TTs and a massive fleet. They will become unstoppable now I am afraid.

thanks, and yes, that was definitely a WTF moment. I knew he could wipe it out, but was hoping to pull most of the Japanese air force and fleet to the middle of the pacific without a naval base and give China and the UK a couple of turns safe from the Japanese air and navy. I expected if Rubioton went for it he would have more units further east. Good learning experience :-)

This is a bit late in the day for an edit, but I realized that the British cruiser in the Indian ocean should have been in 76. I had meant to block your Italian transports. No worries if I’m too late to getting to this. Its my error.

Farmboy, you made an illiegal move during your US turn. You cannot load 2 units from Gibraltar into one TT and then only unload one unit in Holland.
Every unit, that is loaded during combat move phase MUST be unloaded in the same combat move phase.
So you either unload both in Holland or just take one.You can unload just a single out of 2 units from 1 TT in case you loaded the unit in a previous NCM.
But in this case, as I said, the move was illegal.
