Thanks @Stucifer, @SuperbattleshipYamato
& @Krieghund. I suspected that was the case but was really hoping it wasn’t.
Pacific 1940 2nd Edition
-
Are you guys that have the first edition going to get this one after seeing the pieces and changes
I certainly will, for the pieces. For instance, one of my plans is to use the new ANZAC infantry pieces as ANZAC troops and to use the first edition’s “ANZAC” infantry pieces (British troop pieces in the ANZAC colour) to represent other Commonwealth troops like the Canadians.
-
any other pics of the new pieces like anzac fighter or Japanese mech?
Those three shots were the only pictures VanGal sent me. I don’t know if he has plans to take additional shots, but it would indeed be nice to see some more views.

Nice idea. I really believe if London falls, all income on that turn should go to the conqueror obviosly, but that on subsequent turns Canada should collect the 7IPCs for its territories until London is liberated.
I am sure some of you play that. -
I am getting both games for sure. Â Gonna blend in the new pieces for more variety. Â I will also be selling lots of pieces from the 2nd editions on eBay, so anyone that doesn’t want the full game but wants new pieces keep an eye out for them. Â I love doing it. Â After all is said and done, I make a little bit which I use to help pay for my daughters daycare. Â Don’t make a ton, but I enjoy the process and have met some very nice people whom love A&A like I do. Â

Do you even pay the German player to take London, just so you get to liberate it?
-
It must be a lot of fun as you have so little to spend and so much to deal with.
I have a personal interest in Italy and am passionate about its fate and how I play it, so can imagine how much playing Canada must mean to you all. -

I’ve just posted in the “What´s your favorite movie phrase?” thread (in the Other Forums / General Discussion section) a quote that I think you’ll enjoy. It’s from the classic Bogart wartime movie Sahara.
-
I did. Probably 10 years since I watched that film, but the speech does ring some bells. Can imagine my Italian grandparents agreeing with and liking it too. Probably everyone in the cinema actually. My Nonna liked Bogart, but loved… John Vain (Wayne).

So Japan does not start with any troops in Kiangsi?
or is that just a set up error?
-
Must be an error. Only Uk/France have more troops in England and Scotland to placate the people who said Sealion is too easy.
Rest of set up looks Alpha 3.9. -

Some errors on Japanese setup, there are 3 inf, arty in Kiangsi and ftr/tac air in Kiangsu. New pics of map are being processed along with pics of ANZAC air and UK mech inf.
It seems that most land areas in China have 3 inf, arty for the Japanese.

Here are the new pics which VanGal has just mentioned, beginning with the corrected map set-ups.
First, the corrected overall set-up:
-
Next, the corrected Japanese set-up:
-
Next, a close-up of the ANZAC dispositions:
-
Now for some sculpt pictures. If I accidentally got the nationalities mixed up when assigning file names, I’d appreciate VanGal or someone else providing the corrected identifications.
First, the ANZAC air units:
-
Next, the British air units:
-
Another shot of the British air units – a bit fuzzier than the last one, but included for the sake of completeness:
-
Now for some ANZAC land units: Â [EDIT: it appears that these units may in fact be British rather than ANZAC, and that their grey colour is just the result of the photograph lighting. See futher down in this thread for the discussion which brought up this point.] [FURTHER EDIT: VanGal confirms that they are indeed British.]
