Another picture.

Was surpised to see it to… but then they screwed it up by asking “wanna play teams?”
How else would you play A&A with 4 people? :(
I wish the writers for BBT would take gaming as seriously as they do physics. Its not the first time they make avoidable errors like that.
-
Not necessarily an error. The guys modify things a lot on that show. For example, “Rock Paper Scissors, Lizard, Spock”

Here’s a scary thought: can you imagine an A&A game played in the same way as Calvinball? That could arguably count as the ultimate houserule system.

Actually, I have a game a little bit like that.

Spring '42 2nd edition. Looks like they got the setup right. I’ll have to check this episode out.

Yeah - pretty cool!

A&A gets some MAJOR national TV exposure!!! LOVELY!!!
-
Yeah! Was a very pleasant surprise when I saw it!

Besides the fact they were obviously playing A&A (to fans of the game) and mentioned “teams”, did any of the cast actually call out the game by name on the episode… did anyone say “Axis and Allies” in that episode? If not, the potential increase in awareness would have been mostly lost. For example, the Settlers of Cataan episode is fairly famous and there’s much actual playing of the game in the episode and explaining of the rules… an episode like that for A&A would have been great, but I can’t seem to find any video links or mentions of it anywhere other than on this forum.

I’m 99% sure they said Axis and Allies, yes, at least once
