Because some players have dropped, I prefer to move matchups around rather than give passes.  The point of the tourney is to try the maps, after all.

FYI to everyone who is still playing a Round 1 game.

I will be calling all Round 1 games in 3 weeks. 
This means I’ll take a look at the save and decide who is winning based on that.

If a game is till reasonably close with no clear winner, then I will give a 1 week extension.

Round 3 games will begin after all Round 1 games have ended.  That means Round 3 will start probably in 2-4 weeks (so like Nov 23 or so).

Lalapalooza said in his thread that he would be willing to continue the game in Dice.

I think Kabloom (your rnd 2 opponent) would be willing to play with Dice if you asked him.

Please let me know if you want to continue playing.  It is certainly not too late to start your game with Kabloom.

Lala wanted to keep LL cor at least round 1  and no, I’m not going to continue it, I miht find more opponents wanting to play LL as this is a common option in the tripleA lobby for these maps.

I’ll wizh this tournament bedt luck tho’, it’s just the LL that doesn’t fit my tastes (even if I’m usually pretty unlucky I still prefer dice uncertainities from a tactical viewpoint)

No response from him for over 18 days, so I gave you a new opponent (alexgreat) before he posted at all in that thread.

Please do not continue that game, your new opponent is alexgreat, so please start a new game with him. ASAP.

I’ll work out with Eskander whether he wants to continue from round 3 or not, but he certainly does not have time to finish his round 1 and 2 games in addition to the round 3 that is starting in like 2 weeks.  And NWO is a pretty long game to be honest.

I should add this to the rules, although it is technically covered by point 1.

I am very very much against giving people “byes” in this tournament.

If you opponent never shows up, or you never make it past round 1, then I do plan to if at all possible, give you a new opponent.

The whole point of the tournament is to get people playing these different maps.  If you skip a round, that means you’ve skipped a map, and that makes me incredibly sad.

The fact that you could win a little something is a nice bonus, but the real incentive is the fun you will have playing on all these different boards.

So ya, if it is possible, I will find a new opponent for anyone who’s opponent is not playing.

My experience with NE map was that I was about to skip it because I was busy with life and because the map was strange. I did however give it a go, which was a very good decision since this tournament is an excellent way to try out those less played maps.

Now all I wish is that I don’t have to skip any map.
