This looks a bit like the animated map in one of Frank Capra’s Why We Fight films (I think it was the first one, Prelude to War) which shows a similar German-Japanese invasion of the US via South America, but which throws in an extra pincer movement in which the Germans also invade via Greenland and Labrador and the Japanes also invade via Alaska and the Rocky Mountains. I assume whoever thought up these northern pincers never tried crossing those territories in person to see how practical that would have been. The part about Japan invading the Americas by taking a Japan-Solomons-Galapagos route is also pretty funny: it’s just about the longest route one could imagine, and it consists almost entirely of empty ocean. The only advantage I can see to it is that the Japanese task force would pass fairly close to French Polynesia, so the Japanese would be able to take a little rest-and-recreation break in Tahiti before getting down to the serious business of subjugating the U.S.

It is sad the axis did not reach their goals. They tried to prevent the hegemony of America. Now a days we all live in America. America’s hegemony is so complete so thorough that the dominators and the oppressed think it is the natural order of things. It is sad.

Are you kidding? Half the worlds population would have been liquidated to even get to “invade America” scenario. You worry about USA too much, not looking at unfathomable evils Germany and Japan had in mind.

Look at the Nihaii incident. The local Japanese residents, who NEVER previously showed any disloyalty, turned on the tiny community they had lived with for YEARS! And started trying to kill people! LOL…
