Are there any gamers on this forum who play any sort of roleplaying games?
I’m big into 4th Edition D&D, but I’ve also been working on designing my own original game system that I would love to test out, if I can find some interested players.
How/where does everybody store their games?
-
I’ve given away alot of games over the years but I still have a bunch….too many really. Even though that’s the case, I try to think of where they will go when I’m designing a space. I know that some of you guys actually have rooms dedicated to games and some of you have to be creative with what space you have. Whatever the case, show us what your solution is. I’ll start. Here are a few of my games. Lots of good memories :-)

LOL we have a VERY similar collection…
But no Axis and Allies Anniversary!?!?!
Also, picture 2… centre, centre shelf. Is that a Card Shuffler?
-
Anniversary is in a different room because it’s too large to fit on the shelves in that room. The games shown are not all of them. If by card shuffler you mean the grey metal contraption in picture two, that’s an old Hallicrafter’s shortwave from the early 50’s. I really love the original Avalon Hill games as well. Not too simple but not crazy complicated either.

LOL Dirty little secrets of WWII is the best book ever!
I was literally talking about it over lunch today!
“The First bomb dropped on Leningrad killed the only elephant in the entire city.” lol…

WHERE DID YOU GET THAT TABLE!
I used to have the same one in my first apartment! Epic!
Gargbage bags on the windows though… mean only one thing. ;)
-
garbage bag means I’ve been to lazy to go get a proper set of drapes :-P, cost me a small bundle for the blinds on the other 5 windows though, me and my Brother fixed up this room and the pergo on the floor was pricey believe you me.
as to the table got it from an office closing down, cost me nothing but the chairs cost me abit though.

Tank Battle! That’s a fun one!! Nice room setup!

I like the military helmets on the shelves – a nice decorative element.

I see you have your own copy of Tank Battle too, and your room is none too shabby either, and a nice collection of games.
-
Thank you! But my collection is tiny compared to some of you guys.

If ever you’re looking for ideas to enhance the decoration of your gaming room, you can look at the links in this thread…

…which in some cases will lead you pictures of some impressive “war rooms” that people have built in which to play A&A.

Wow!! Just WoW!!! Some nice, NICE stuff in those threads!!! Think how proud Larry must be of his invention when he sees this type of stuff.

Yes indeed. As I recall, some people have even made themselves “war rakes” – long sticks with a small flat rectangle at the end, which can be used to move military units on a big game map, just like they do in old war movies showing things like the RAF’s Fighter Command headquarters during WWII.

Is the M38 and the M40 real ones or rebuilds?
-
I wish that the M38 was real! The M40 is actually a post war West German. I used to have a Heer and an SS M40, both with original paint and 98% decals. They were stolen many years ago unfortunately.
-
Is that a WWII encyclopedia third shelf from the bottom? It looks like the one I have. I look at that thing at least once a week.
-
Before I forget!, You did an Outstanding Job on this room, very nice!!
