It was just announced a few hours ago. Plus there are screenshots which I’m putting into an article.

Renegade games announced last Friday that they are releasing a new G.I. Joe game, set in the Arctic and using, “the Axis & Allies gameplay engine”.
So, new “Axis & Allies” type game - but Renegade has very carefully stated that this is not a new A&A game, but a game from a different IP. Just a game that will play out similarly to A&A.
I think this could be interesting, especially with the new map (the High Arctic) and modern-ish pieces. But I can see people complaining already.

At least it’s not zombies…
@Midnight_Reaper I believe by “game engine” they mean the A&A Miniatures.
It would make sense, with the other elements they stated in the release.
@reloader-1 AAM isn’t AA in the slightest. Nobody bought that and if they did they are desperately trying to unload anything AAM because it sucked. Ebay has the proof anyone needs. Its like a trash compactor of garbage.
@Imperious-Leader I’m not disagreeing with anything you wrote, but was merely answering the original poster who inquired as to AAM.
It looks like Renegade is releasing a GI Joe themed version using the AAM rules. I’ve never played AAM, don’t really care for it, but the original poster asked…
Feels more like a G.I Joe game than an Axis and Allies game. Neat but won’t be picking it up.
Definitely getting more then one copy.

No, they are referring to Axis & Allies full stop – not miniatures. This game will be “GI Joe (powered by Axis & Allies)”. It’s a light area control, dice battle game. I’m imagining 1941 with GI Joe using whatever land masses or territories that are in the GI Joe universe.
The industries refers to any little plastic pieces as miniatures.
I’ll try to get an article and maybe an interview up soon to clarify.
I’ll probably buy a copy of this GI Joe game inspired by A&A.
@djensen 100% I was wrong!
I’m now a playtester for this, so I cannot comment, but it is an Axis & Allies game… and I will buy it :)
Need more News. Pictures!
@reloader-1 I didn’t realize there was playtesting for this. I might be more useful on a “generic-themed” A&A game than North Africa. I feel like all the playtesters are history buffs, except me.
I feel like you’re on the wrong thread.

@SuperbattleshipYamato No, I rather suspect he’s just where he wants to be. He apparently thinks he would be of more use helping to playtest this “A&A meets G.I. Joe” game than the A&A North Africa game he is currently playtesting.
I don’t know if that’s true, but a man is always entitled to his own opinion.

That makes sense then. I was a little confused about why the comment would’ve been on this thread. 👍

Yeah, probably not true. =-) I just need to play more North Africa play tests. ;-)
Re: [Meet your new Axis & Allies Game](now with G.I. Joe)
I’m in the right Thread. It’s a pity. I want more information about the G.I. Joe Game.
@mictator You are not the only one.
Finally a axis and allies game that the first 3 turns are not scripted.
I really hope GI joe is a huge success. Then we could get other themed Axis board games.
AAM and WaS are Hella fun to play.
It’s down fall was the blind boosters imho.
Yes, i Love Axis and Allies. But the Scripting 😢
@Deaths-Head-420 totally agree. The more variety, the better! My boys and I loved AAM.
@reloader-1 I wanted to do that. How did it occur?
