    if I only knew your land forces attacking GIB were going to roll all one’s I wouldn’t have sent the fighter to stop the bombardment. Please let me know this in the future.

    Personally, when I play the Euro axis, if I can’t contain R everything falls apart for me, my G mech advances into the ME and Africa come at the expense of letting R loose. I can’t figure a way to make that work, but that’s me.

    Yeah, thats how I feel. I usually just dance around in the area but gotta try it and see how it turns out.

    W/respect to GIB and the US/UK turn, I had a hard time deciding what to do, I almost emptied NOR to put a foothold on the mainland. Perhaps that would have been a better move but I have had a lot of success with the USA stationed firm in NOR, so I went with that and the loses in the other areas.

    Yeah, I dont know what I would have done. I think this is the right play but its not obvious. Problem is Norway is an expensive investment. But I think if you had gone to the mainland you wouldnt have been able to do anything really (except give Russia a tad more breathing room). I could have easily stacked Paris and there is almost no way you would have been able to hold out in Normandy next turn.

    I tend to try and defend Normandy, Norway, and Greece at all costs and then focus on Moscow, but it takes a while and Allies eventually build up too much and I have a hard time getting a win in Pac so eventually even with Moscow falling, Allies grind away.

    We will see.

    really, ok, I will look, & DAMN those rd 1 battles in Gib and TRJ couldn’t have gone much worse for me…

    @666 yeah, TrJ round 1 was pretty bad. Allies wish I had started with the TrJ battle instead of the Kazakh Battle. -3.5 in Kazakh but +8 in TrJ.

    But even if the battles had gone average they would have been bad results for allies. You needed good luck and you didnt get it of course. I think you could have defended Gib better and then blocked in Iraq. All the ME troops were going to get slaughtered eventually, once you moved them to Iraq on UK7, I think whenever allies can delay things they should. Now Germany can just turn around and has one less theater to worry about.


  • @ksmckay i wanted G to move further into the ME, I was just hoping to kill more of those expensive units…but you are right it would have been even better if I had made a stand where ITA attacked. Something for me to consider next time.

    for some reason tripleA always selects the air units with the highest remaining movement left as casualties rather than the units with least amount of movement. So i had to edit some air. (which I just realized I did wrong). Should have forced 2 ftrs not 2 tacs, so I will fix that.

    for some reason tripleA always selects the air units with the highest remaining movement left as casualties rather than the units with least amount of movement. So i had to edit some air. (which I just realized I did wrong). Should have forced 2 ftrs not 2 tacs, so I will fix that.
