How does one access the old forum ?

@SS-GEN yea I saw that but I thought it was still “read only” for posts and topics the way the old triplea site is.

It has the neutral rules that DeGaulle uses. Thought Valladares might be interested in it. Especially giving neutrals something other than just infantry

The “old” forum is not accessible, unfortunately. However the old links are redirected to the topics in the “new” forum.

So what exactly is the problem you are facing?

That old link redirects to:
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/28180/should-we-make-better-rules-for-invadable-neutrals-1940

When i click on the link I get this:

The link in the screenshot differs silghtly from the one you have posted above.
In the screenshot you see the figure “25” in the URL twice.
In your posted link there is no “25” at all.

So while the link without “25” redirects, the one including the “25” gives the error message.

The old forum had “#” instead.

This is an example of how the old forum URL-syntax was (different topic here):
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=28699.msg1597613#msg1597613

You see that the URL in your screenshot does not match this.
Instead the correct URL (old forum) would be:
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=38615.msg25#msg25

and this redirects to
https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/topic/28180/should-we-make-better-rules-for-invadable-neutrals-1940

All in all concerning the URL you tried/posted the new forum software seems to somehow generously ingnore the “%” (without number) when redirecting but throws an error when the “%” is followed by a number (such as 25 in your screenshot).

When I looked back I just scrolled back in pages to find what I was looking for. But I think you can only do 1 page at a time and there will be less pages than old forums
Just look for the topic or de Gaulle topic.

@SS-GEN Yes, there are less pages per topic than on the old forum because now there are more postings per page than before, depending on the pagination settings. No postings have been lost.

yea i’ve done that before. came across that link while searching was wondering why it didn’t work.
