I am very concerned about the pornography advertisements on the sidebar. My 15 year old boy is getting a little interest in A&c and when I’m involving him in some of my exciting games…… well… that’s the last thing I want him to see.
Also, Google Chrome is starting to give me warning screens about possible malware on the site. Maybe it’s just me and my computer - don’t know if this is common to everyone.

Unfortunately, I don’t have much control over the ads. Google AdSense shouldn’t be showing ads that contain malware but every once in a while one slips through.
A lot of ads are, uh, linked to browsing activity so you might want to monitor you browser.
I’ll go check the AdSense settings and see if I can block certain types of ads.

Thank you for sharing your observation.
Personally I cannot reproduce these issues. Neither I see any questionable ads - most of the time it is (war) game related stuff. Nor does my browser give me any malware warning, using Chrome myself for years.
I am writing this not to deny your observation but to share my user experience.
I blocked “Significant Skin Exposure” (which I didn’t even realize was a category that I could block).

I’ve been a member of this forum for about nine years and I don’t recall ever seeing any pornographic sidebar advertisements here. It’s not unusual for the sidebar to show advertisements for dating-type websites, some of which feature various degrees of cleavage, but nothing that would qualify as deserving a PG rating, let alone an R or an NC-17 or an X.
I saw alot of that crap around 10 years ago, but not recently.

I don’t have access to specific inventory but I increased the ad category restrictions.
Also, if there are ads that bother you, click that blue triangle and I think that gives you options to potentially block certain sites.
wow, there are porno adds? I’ve been missing out!
The most racy add I’ve ever seen on this site that wasn’t for games, toys etc was one from some restaurant that showed pictures of its delicious, sumptuous, juicy prime rib! That got me going!
You know the ad’s are based on your uhm… heh… search history on the computer right? LOL
Maybe your son hasn’t told you everything…
No Joke, go google an HP Lazer Jet printer, or some other random item, and lol it or similar items will show up in your ad feed.
I use the tablet I come on this website with to also visit the following:
Yahoo mail
Youtube
Other game websites
Google for word definitions, spellings, etc.
I get the following adds (in order of frequency):
War boardgaming
Dating sites
News
Random stuff like insurance
I never saw any pornographic images, but some of the dating website adds can be annoying. I have sometimes gotten security warnings from Android’s built-in detectors.
All ads are based off of browser searches. This means either your or your childrens searches are most likely some sort of porn. I know mentioned above just agreeing with the statements already posted.
Like i am bombarded with axis&allies Anniversary ads now. However I already own a copy. just because I searched something. rather be bombarded with my fav board game series than that however
I never see any of the stuff. :)
I love it. My PC Matic cuts out every add. Every one> Ha Ha
