@ArtofWar1947 you lost 1 of the 8 ftrs in Gibralter. Remember the 2 DDs had 1 hit
The DD did get a hit on the last round. I chose the German CA as the victim but must have messed up and AAZ took a fighter. As the CA was a dead duck any way, I exchanged it for the downed fighter as the last casualty.
Okay that’s fine. I probably should have saved at least one of the sub’s as you had no destroyers left to sink them, but the map you sent would not open so I made a mistake. But that’s ok, we can play on
If you wish, we can redo the last round of g5 combat in SZ 93: Save the sub instead of the DD, disregard the DD’s hit. and have the German CA fight @ 3 versus the US. sub @ 1 or the Gereman CA can retreat to the safety of SZ 94

Saving the 2 DDs was your best chance of inflicting damage on the Germans ,and it paid off with sinking the CA.
If you had chose to save a DD and SS, the Germans would have chosen to sink its SS and the DD. The US would then have been defending with a 2 and a 1 instead of .two 2s…
I figures to sacrifice the SS, DD, and CA no matter what.
