Well, it wasn’t supposed to be a slaughter. Average dice was only 2 planes die and a plus 10 TUV. More importantly the Russian push to the east to remove Japanese income in a significant way was removed. However, due to a horrible first round of combat (4 hits instead of 9) I ended up losing 7 planes instead of 2; so it was -40 TUV or basically worse by 5 planes times 10 versus the average +10. Once I attacked I had to continue otherwise you would have killed the planes in the counter attack anyway.

While the dice screwed me and the attack was no where near as successful as it should have been I still accomplished my goal. Japanese income is now safe and that is big.
