Yeah super annoying to lose battles like that. China and Russia have so many of those 2+1 v 1 battles. And allies have struggled with them this game.
I would have made the exact purchase you did. I think in certain cases aa are the right call but I dont think they were in this case.

Yes, but not with moves like that by axis. Not sure what I was thinking. I had decided I wasnt worried about you attacking Italian fleet, but not sure why really. And I had been leaving mech in WGer in case you decided to try and swing for SItaly, but completely forgot about that on German turn. I dont think it matters but still very sloppy.
