You seem to play in extremes. All out Barbarossa at the expense of western defenses, or all out western defense and attack at the expense of the east. The trick to mastery will be finding just the right balance.

I think this game is lost for the Axis. Did I really lose the game at that point G4 when I failed to retake Holland from the UK, allowing you to land the single USAAF plane? It seems that the 2 planes I lost in SZ111 would have changed that calculation, of course.
I might be able to gain some ground in the Pacific, but not enough I feel.
Up to you if you think it’s lost. Certainly Europe is struggling.
No i wouldn’t say the Holland issue early on caused this. Rather, I think your Europe play needs to be much more balanced out. As I said earlier, it’s too extreme one way or the other.

I had a look for other games where there was a similar situation - J1 DOW and KGF but I couldn’t find any examples. Usually the allies come after Italy or Japan. So I’m not entirely sure what other people would do in the same situation.
I’ve realised a few things other things though - the Northern route was a mistake in this game. If I’d have gone south I could have made you fight to hold all those 2IPC territories and might have been able to grab and hold Stalingrad and the Caucasus. Which would have really changed the economics of the eastern front.
I don’t know, I just reckon stopping the landing from holding in the first place is something that you want as Axis. You just need to get the Soviet money too.
This game won’t count (theoretically) until you have 10 games, so I guess there’s no real point in going again. I’ll be up later on when we both have 20 games, if you are.
Several things you did, I didn’t really anticipate which I’m not that happy about.
One other thing, you might have given me faith in the allies again. A lot of my wins are from taking Moscow G7 but I think the allies are generally playing sub optimally - no scramble, falling back from Bryansk when they shouldn’t, no allied fighter reinforcement of Moscow. They’re probably the main things.
