I think if I change my casualties and drop some air and keep carriers and a destroyer, I can hold the Philippines. So I think I will try that, with your permission. This might get a bit complex to fix.

Because I had adjusted the casualties before, I don’t think there was a file I could draw from. ALthough I suppose I could have redone your rolls and then edited to correct after. There are a lot of changes, so I think its worth a careful read of the edits.
I believe the main change is that I restored two carriers that were destroyed and restored two more that were tilted and a destroyer. I then destroyed 7 fighters. But getting there was very convoluted, hence I think it is a good idea to double check.

I was just thinking you would have to do this. In thinking through that move, I completely missed that in tilting your carriers you would have difficulty finding a safe place to retreat to.
