I am playing a casual game of BM3 (3.0) with Canada being a separate faction instead of under British’s domain. I noticed in the game that China does not spawn guerrillas in Japan’s territories not garrisoned by a land unit. The notes differ as to also in that China gets another +3 for their Objective. Is this a compensation or a bug rather?

@axis-dominion GG I’m gonna concede this one. I probably had better options for the allies this turn, but I just couldn’t see a path to change the tides. I did get a little diced in Rostov but you still had me. I liked your patient pace with Germany taking the really long way around Lol! I don’t think I was effective enough with the US. I spent alot on Egypt, but so did you but I couldn’t capitalize on it against Germany. I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on how you would have proceeded once Egypt was back in allied hands?

Confused by that last USSR move into Rostov. Didn’t that just place units into danger? Do you think you lost the game right there? USSR wasn’t likely to fall next turn but the writing may have been on the wall after losing 30 units.
As for doing something different, could you have put more effort into taking back the Caucasus with UK? I guess that was only really at the end but the game was pretty closely matched. Was the UK2 DOW worth it? That also led the USSR DOW on Japan and nullifying the Mongolian rule. Anyway, just my 2c if you’re interested.

Thanks for the feedback Simon. As for the last Allied turn I guess I had already made up my mind that I didn’t see a path to victory so I wanted to see what AD would do when presented with two large targets in Russia. Their turn wasn’t optimized to continue. Hence the US naval battle in the pacific. I worked so hard to liberate Egypt and once I did I wasn’t in the position I thought I would be. I underestimated the German stack and Italys ability to keep it alive. He spent alot of early money on planes which I killed in Egypt. I thought that would give me a unit advantage in Russia and the middle east. But the US was not able to dent Germany at all. And well Japan was a pretty strong naval force.

phew! this is one of those matches I thought I was gonna lose, to be totally honest lol I don’t think you really knew just how strong your Russian advantage was once Egypt fell, or even before it did. I noticed you were still playing defensively with them, and let me get away with continuing to defend Egypt with German planes for as long as I did.
but even without a more aggressive russia, I felt you still had strong chances. yes I think you weren’t as effective with the US, as it seems like you were throwing away units left and right (eg ships in the pac and tps in the med and Atlantic). I felt you were being wasteful at times, but interestingly enough, it was slowing the axis down as well. so perhaps it wasn’t so wasteful but more a part of your larger strategy to keep the axis distracted with smaller material gains here and there, so as to keep them from pursuing the larger goals and thrusts. idk … for sure an interesting play style/strategy to say the least, probably one of the more unique ones I’ve seen (similar to bjergmose, a was a former league player).
well, to answer your question: once Egypt fell, I would’ve concentrated on smashing the axis ships and completely conquering the med. there’s a lot of money locked up in there. and then possibly go for infiltrating through greece. but that’s just one potential option.

But I was struggling to see my advantage and a way to make it stick. Maybe I’ll go back and look at Russia again. (Usually I’m over aggressive with them) I’d be down for another. Switch sides? Or same? I fine with either.
