Yes, it is that time of year again. Around Labor Day, I am heading up to Vancouver BC to battle face to face with Garganuta and his crew. Site: my families home in Deep Cove, right on the water!
Some of you may remember last year’s glorious event, highlights of which included:
1. The almost game-stopping deployment of the “Sneaky Karl,”
2. Larry Harris weighing in personally on legality of same, and last but not least,
3. Lord Curtmungus arriving on the scene to the shock and horror of us all.

I talked to Lord C. and he doesn’t think he can make it (thank god). But otherwise many of the same varlets and knaves will be showing up to drink beer, throw dice and seek personal and moral vindication through the simulated death of millions.
The reason I am posting this 2 months in advance is to see who else is around in the Vancouver Area willing to crack dice. Not sure if/when/how, but if some of you out there in the Van area would be interested in swinging by the House of War, maybe we can get some more games going.

Last year we played the mod version of Global with the modified NOs and the marines (I don’t remember the exact name or rules but don’t think that means I won’t SLAY any challengers at it.)
That seemed like a pretty nicely evolved version. Will it be the same this year?

Yeah, I think Garg wants to play on some modified map he’s got going. But I think we’ll also have a regular game going too.
Sadly I have to report we are postponing this event. Looks like most of the players are going away for the holiday.
We are now think of pushing this thing to the weekend of US Thanksgiving holiday.
