this month in St. Louis. Fabiano Caruana scored 8.5 out of ten possible points in an elite chess tourney. The six man tourney with the lowest ranked player being number 9 in the world was won in amazing fashion.
Great article. Thanks for sharing.
Yeah, like chess24.com. It has a wierd rating system. It goes up to like a 3900 rating. Weird huh?
@P@nther:
Is there a central rating league or board that everyone recognizes that I should register with?
Or are there multiple leagues etc?
There is an official platform maintained by the FIDE

https://arena.myfide.net/why-fide-online-arenaThe other providers mentioned in this thread have their own ELO-rating-based ladders.
Ok, I will take a look.
They’ve got an interview with Caruana on chess.com. Can you imagine a chance to be remembered with all the chess greats…Morphy, Lasker, Capablanca, Fischer, Kasparov ect…
Yes it’s really mind blowing.
It would be nice if we had a seperate chess strip. If we did we could play correspondence chess. Just my 2 cents. :-D
Correspondence chess is not what it used to be, with today’s software playing so much better than any human.
Yea its only for old farts who cant make a move in a normal game.
@P@nther:
Magnus Carlsen and Fabiano Caruana will meet before at this event, starting on Saturday:

Caruana took the tournament!
Another Carlsen vs Caruana test in Norway. Carlsen won their individual game, but Caruana won the tournament.
At first I thought that Carlsen would be the clear favorite in their upcoming match, but by now I’m not so sure. It will be interesting!
well, looks as if this guy didn’t play by the rules
