Amazing! Definitely going to get it soon. The future of Axis and Allies is bright!
1940 3rd edition?

Just curious if there ever will be one.
It seems like there is a consensus on battleships and cruisers being a little too expensive and other issues that could be fixed.
Anyone have any information on the subject?

The "balanced mod " is pretty popular. You might want to try that. I think it’s under playboardgames
-
I feel that it’s highly unlikely that Larry will ever make another WW2 game using the Axis & Allies game mechanics.
-
I feel that YG is correct.
There also wont be another war that is as amenable to being a board game as World War 2, so we can also dismiss the possibility of a future LH World War 3 game with cool armies and bases, probably just mushroom clouds and smoking ruins, if we are lucky.

Axis and Allies is pretty much put on a shelf for the foreseeable future. Thats why WOTC put out all those games in one year ( 1941, 1942.2, 1940 2nd), to complete contractual obligations with Larry.
Pretty sure in 10 years they will make some nostalgia version of AA, but forget 3rd edition this and that.
D-Day was really not a new edition ( well just rehash out a few more copies since they nearly sold out… type of thing). Perhaps 1940 may be released in a new print edition, but don’t expect new ideas, rules, etc

Wait, was there a DDay reprint?
It’s been reprinted on and off over the years. It occasionally pops up at one of my local hobby shops.
