Enjoyed that.
Is only he second time I have played to the fall of Berlin.
Well played. Was Russia that did for me
And still do not know why I could not break into Russia.
Happy to call the game.
Goodnight. -
gg blokes. was fun to watch
-
Thank you.
Perhaps you can say when it went wrong for me. Balladeer says I did not concentrate on Russia enough, that I bought too much fleet.
Do the best players attack Russia, as Japan? Maybe that was an error of mine. I am happy if my Japan can hold its own, hold off the Allies, I mean.
I am happy to admit that I am a T3 player and easily out of my depth with half the players here. -
Yes. I see two issues. First, you went a light on sz 110 in round 1 (sending only 5 planes, 2 subs), and were punished for it. He scrambled, killing 4 planes. Losing that much air on G1 hurts Germany ALOT. The bigger problem, though, was the purchases. In five of the first six rounds, you bought fleet. I think this was unnecessary and fatal to Germany’s ambitions in Russia. For example, why buy a sub in round 2, when u already had 3 subs on the board, and were in a position to negate both Russia’s lend lease NO, and UK’s “no sub” objective without it?
In a non-Sealion game, Germany needs to be buying almost all mechs and tanks after Round 1, maxing out the Germany factory every turn. And when it captures Ukraine, it should start building artillery from there. Don’t endanger your air with risky attacks on round 1, and purchase air in the very last round before you make your Moscow push (tacs from Novgorod and Bombers from West Germany. Every game is unique of course, but thats a good rule of thumb.

Thank you for the time to analyse my first moves. I appreciate it.
Have a fun Sunday. Leo. -
