I’m trying to renew my usual Bronze membership, but I’m getting an error message (AMOUNT_ERROR).
Is A&A.org infected?

Not me Gamerman.

I haven’t run into this problem. I use IE. What do you mean by “change the page”?

Like any time you reply, click “see unread posts”, click a link…
Maybe it’s a chrome problem with the site

I use Chrome with no problem. It’s always a good bet to have two browsers installed and trying them both to ascertain if the issues is browser dependent.
Do you use anti-virus software? Try disabling it for this site. Ensure you didn’t accidently install something along with another program that may be affecting behaviour. What changes have you made to your system recently?

Thanks, guys, I think I got it!
I actually thought of some of the things you just suggested, Malachi - thanks for the good advice. Then I came back here and there was your helpful post saying the same thing
I went to my “uninstall program” list and sure enough, 3 days ago some unwanted adblocker software was installed, so I uninstalled it.
Thanks again dudes, sorry to bother you - thought it might be a site problem is why I posted

I use Vick’s cough syrup, no problems here.

Glad to be of help. It wasn’t so much my brilliance as having the exact same issue a month ago with a piggybacked ‘freebee’ that got installed along with something else.
I actually don’t use any anti-virus software. I am just careful as to what porno sites I view!
