The people who responded above me are correct.
Thanks for giving me an idea for a house rule though…
Has anyone used/purchased this before? I am looking for reviews from people on this site for this product.

Does anyone have a good alternative dice tower?
I own the FMG combat turret but I don’t use it. It’s made of cardboard. I prefer using a dice tower that I had already built for myself before getting the FMG one, though I too would be interested in hearing about any commercially-produced models that other folks here would recommend.
@CWO… When you say “made out of cardboard” is that a bad thing or a problem? Does it not work well?

Cardboard will not handle the test of time. Rolling dice can be very harsh on a surface and will wear out rather quickly. I looked at these a couple years ago and as soon as I saw they were made of cardboard I immediately dismissed them as poor quality.
I ended up making my own. They’re a bit large but work quite well. Â I ended up fastening them to my game table so I could mount my magnetic score board between them. I am going to extend the tray about 6" so I get more tumble out of the dice. On a humorous note, I swear using a dice tower makes one throw 5’s & 6’s quite consistently!

Cardboard isn’t a problem in and of itself, but I prefer something more solid. My home-made dice tower’s vertical component is made of aluminum (I modified an aluminum “cylinder” – it’s actually rectangular – to adapt it for that purpose), but the dice towers whose appearance I like best are the ones made of good-quality stained wood.

Yes, good point. I like the towers you made – nice work.
I got about 3 of those. I really prefer dice tray. Towers suck because you got a small space to see the dice and if you roll alot of dice, it takes more time to count hits.
The tray is much better because everyone can see the results from the table and usually people like to count hits by sweeping those dice to the side of the tray. The tower really has no such space.

I agree 100% I got a beautiful wooden dice tower from FMG (yes they have them), however, when the dice roll out some dice kick back under the drop shoot making them difficult to read. I brought this up to them last year and I believe someone at IWNGU (I will never grow up) was working on a design that releases the dice higher so when the dice kick back, there is a bank that the dice will bounce off of.
