Hello Coach, first thank you for your work, your supplementary sets are wonderful !!!
I can suggest you 2 italian fighters for your late war set:
- Reggiane Re.2001 OR Serie II, proposed ship-borne fighter version for the carrier Aquila;
- Reggiane Re.2005 Sagittario, the latest italian fighter, it is considered by many to be “the most beautiful plane of the Second World War” (wikipedia).
The other choices are good!

“Coach”,
Here’s another web-site that might assist you in your aircraft reseach.
It’s called Wings Palette and it has many, many drawings of each aircraft in several paint schemes.I’m sure I’ll be happy with whatever choices you make. They’ve all been EXCELLENT so far. And that Fiat G.55 is a really sharp looking aircraft.
–-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
And Guertz,
That Reggiane Re.2005 is an attractive aircraft, too.

im so glad you are doing the Centauro.
-
I read this morning the wiki page of the G55, I think it’s better than Re2005 to represent the late war fighter.
So, the list is perfect, very good work !!!

Thank you for your contribution to the war effort, guertz. Goodbye for now.

@ Coachofmany - Further to Lunarwolf’s reminder regarding the French and Japanese sets, have you had an opportunity to consider my questions from Reply #43 (currently near the end of page 3 in this thread)?

I will see if Coach has some info on this. Keep in mind we have a lot being planned at HBG and are trying to get the Neutrals and Russians finalized along with some other great new stuff! As Coach said regarding the Italians, they are getting way ahead of where the planning is right now. I know Coach is planning to finalize Japan, France, and Germany soon but is still doing research and a final decision has not yet been made.
-
As far as the Russians go, I hope there are plans that include Russian Airborne Paratroopers. I thought Paratroopers were a “standard” part of HBG’s Supplement Sets. I hope they still are. Thanks for your time.

@coachofmany:
i thought you were going to match up with FMGs Canadians color.
This is a new wrinkle from FMG, I need to decide what is best for HBG, I have had a Canadian color that I paint for people well over a year and I cannot keep changing colors, it is not fair to my customers and is expensive for me. I will look into it as I approach that mold.
I definitely agree that FMG’s dice colors should be matched as much as possible. Your painted units (no offense) are just that…painted…and can (I would think) be more easily matched/redone for future use. I would think your clientele is also all FMG’s clientele and would appreciate and understand the need in this.
And I’m not in any way detracting from your quality by saying “painted”…they’re AWESOME! Just that they’re not “molded” that color so relatively easy to re-do. Both you and FMG are incredible assets to the community and both produce EXTREME QUALITY!

Ditto, since the german will have their own Fallschirmjäger. The British must have airborne units too but no sure about the japanese and italian though, puzzled…

i know im jumping the gun, but i’m hoping the neutral set does well. cause i still would love to see a more complete set version of neutrals, my wish list for them would be
Polish infantry:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Polish_infantry_marching_-2_1939.jpgA generic partisan infantry (something that could fit with maybe Yugoslavian/baltic states feel to it) maybe somthing like this:
http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/military_photos/docs-paper-items-photos-propaganda/114805d1276680810-group-photo-greek-soldiers-1941-lastscan.jpgI know everyone didnt like the Fokker Gi but i think it would look cool as a tac bomber.
Submarine:
either the Dutch K XIV
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/K_XIV_class_submarine
Or the Polish Orzel class Sub
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ORP_Orzeł_(1938)a coastal defense ship
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:HMS_Oden.jpgMedium Tank:
i was thinking maybe the american made dutch semi used Marmon-Harrington MTLS-1GI4 medium tank, it has a neutral looking feel to it

its the tank on the rightand another pic; http://www.overvalwagen.com/images/mhbiga4.jpg
Plus would still love to see that PZL p.24 fighter, the P.24 was used my a number of differnt nations through out the war, including Greece, Poland, Bulgaria,Romania, and Turkey

I am not sure where to post this but…… I would like to see the M-3 General Lee Tank. I am not sure if it should be a early war British set or an American future set. I think the sponson mounted gun would look cool on the game board.
-
The Italians are REALLY sounding good! That was a great list for the next neutral set also.I think the Orzel class was Dutch built, could be wrong and the Dutch had a decent armored force in the NEI.There was an excellent site on their Overlandwagens, don’t know if it’s still out there or not.
Many consider the Re 2005 the most attractive plane of the war.I have minis in 1/300 of both(G55) and they are indeed nice.
Although my first 2 orders to HBG have been for OOB/HBG individuals,I plan on about 10 sets when the Neutrals are released.I like the G1 also. There were several nations prepared to buy this fighter and the ones that shot up the Ju52s
in 1940 were originally built for Spain! -
Is there any plans for a British Set? Seems to be the elephant in the room.
-
Yes, all countries will be done. However, the list has not yet been put out for consideration. I guess we will need to start one soon!
-
I just find it funny how US gets 2 sets, germany gets (basically) 2 sets, russia gets 1, japan gets 1, france gets 1, Italy has one (FMG), and Neutrals get 1, but no word on the British. Next thing you know China will get one and still no British plans. :-D just talking about the big white elephant in the room.
-
Hey Coach I was checking out your site and saw you can’t order individual pieces for the neutrals yet. I personally am not going to use all of these pieces in your set and love the ability to buy only the pieces I want as I already ordered from the Axis minors and USA sets. Any time table if there is one to order these individually? The Russian set looks tremendous can’t wait. On my wish list I have Britain, Britain colonial (India), new Italian set would be nice. thanks for all you do Coach these pieces rule.
