Not you but a message to others. I can’t release versions of maps that can be edited/stripped of whatever. Too many people selling on ebay these things and shouldn’t.
Setup on ILs eastern front map
-
This is the setup for ILs eastern front game. I did not use chips so that you could get a better idea of the number of units. The map shown is 4ft.x 5ft. It can be printed smaller overall.
-
Got most of the map in this shot. Looks like this will be our next game probably next week.
-
These two tanks are not part of the setup. They represent heavy armor which comes into the game during later turns.

Start in summer 1941, I presumed?

The German tank is from TT. The Soviet tank is from Memoir 44.

Thats the way IL has it setup in his rules. We have not played the first game yet. Hard telling what changes we will end up making after some test games.

The setup is based on historical, they were mostly on the front lines according to old Soviet maps of the period

The Soviets had a defense line set up well inside the Soviet Union. After the Polish and Baltic states were occupied, then Stalin himself ordered the Russian forces out of their prepared positions and moved to the new frontiers. This is part of the reason that so many of the Soviet armies were enveloped and forced to surrender in the early part of Barbarossa.
