Cool! I can’t wait! Keep going!
Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread

I understand your idea.
The A&A pieces are not so bad but when I look your combat dice, I guess you like prototype & precision stuff.
So I think you’ll be able to make something good.Just can’t wait to see your pieces.
For now, I’m going to order a set of combat dice. -
get the full set. the ones with Italian and Chinese dice.
Also, FMG needs to begin a set for France and the ANZAC’s since they are a new players in AAE40/AAP40.

For sure i’m gonna get the full set.
But France is also present in my world at war games.

Already on it after reading your great post! We have long ago designed these but need to confirm the colours. We will discuss this in another post shortly after release.
Thanks

OK so should I wait to make my order.
A set of 8 different dice?

just buy what they do offer. IN a year or less they will offer other items and you can buy them at that time.
-
Unless FMG makes exact copies of the existing AA pieces, there is no legal basis for WOTC to sue… although it may not stop them…
-
its impossible. They just have to leave out the AA bit and they will be fine. They cant use the words Axis and Allies to attempt to tie into the product unless they obtain a licensing agreement. ( which can be done but expensive)

Many games use similar pieces to Axis and Allies
“Attack” immediately jumps to mind, as well as “Superpowers”, “Tide of Iron” and “memoir 44”
As long as they say “WWII pieces” and don’t use the brand name Axis and Allies in order to advertise they should be good. Heck, Superpowers uses the A&A battle board and got away with it. That’s a lot more unique to A&A than WWII models.
Even marketing it as pieces for custom war games is a good idea.

How about
Field Marshal (or FMG) WWII Board Game Miniatures or
Field Marshal (or FMG) WWII Miniatures -
Hey all, just found this thread. I am in for a set. I don’t have time to read through the whole thread to get an update as I am at work (lunch time). Can anyone post a quick update on the progress of this project? Timeline, has anything been setup for pre-orders yet etc?

We were going to call them FMG COMBAT UNITS…?
Our new 3D sculptor is working on the final units now. Once this is done we will move on to prototypes. I will post pictures of these when they are completed.

Has anything been set up for pre-order yet? I don’t want to miss out being one of the first to own one of these sets.

FMG,
Does it mean that there will be no special drawing? What was the surprise prize?
Keep up the good work.

ditto
I’m also wondering what the three “Special Surprise” pieces will be, each nation getting 3 of them. Man, I really hope they are A-bombs.

The Sushi Jalapeno War, produced by Xeno Games, comes with some pretty good nuclear mushroom clouds:
