@private-panic Thanks very much, this seems to be what I am looking for.
Axis and Alies Jedko Games version
-
Is there anyone who can provide me with a copy of the five opening set-up cards and game board for the jedko games version. Really old.
My set had a slight accident when I moved and was in storage for a year.
Thanks Jeff Rixon

I have a copy of this game so if you are still (16 years later lol) looking give us a yell.
I am also thinking of selling this on a US auction site. Anyone know which one would be best?
Cheers -
How much would it cost?

CheersWhen it comes to game auctions for the U.S., you have three good options:
ebay.com
Put it up on the marketplace here on A&A.org, available at: https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?board=47.0
The geek market section of boardgamegeek.com, available at: https://boardgamegeek.com/geekmarketGood luck and happy hunting!

Is this version any different from the Milton Bradley one?
-
The Nova Games / JEDKO edition of A&A predated the Milton Bradley edition and is wildly different. You can’t use the setup cards for Milton Bradley in the JEDKO game, there are too many differences.
That said, the Nova Games edition uses the same setup, so the Nova Games pictures below should help the OP out…

I think of that version of the game as the “pre-sculpt” version, to distinguish it from all the later incarnations.

That’s not an unfair way of putting things. One of these days I’m going to put together my Nova Games / Milton Bradley A&A mash-up game together and show it off. Over on Axisandallies.fandom.com there is an image of the Nova Games map done to the colors and image textures on the Milton Bradley era A&A map. I have a copy of the Nova Games edition, with the rule book and the initial setups. I have plenty of Milton Bradley era A&A game pieces and a couple extra copies of the game itself.
My plan is to print a copy of the Nova Games / Milton Bradley map, adhere it to a copy of the Milton Bradley map board, boost the parts to a copy of the game with number of pieces from Nova Games, remove the stacking chips, redo the starting setups to use the information from Nova Games, and play a game of Nova Games A&A on the map board and and pieces from Milton Bradley A&A. Should prove interesting if I ever get it done. I think the original costs of the game made more sense in a game where you have a hard cap on how many infantry or tanks can be built as opposed to a game where you can and probably should build 5-10 infantry or more nearly every single turn.

@Midnight_Reaper Hi Midnight - I am also interested in playing Axis and Allies using the original rules - are you able to provide a PDF of the original rules? Many thanks if you are able to share these

If you go to the website I linked you will find a page dedicated to the Nova Games edition of Axis & Allies. One of the first links on the page - labeled “File:A&A Nova Games Edition-Rules.pdf” - is a link to the rules you are looking for. Good luck.

@Midnight_Reaper thanks Midnight - the summary is really good - for some reason the pdf file link is broken but I think there is enough on the summary description to put together an original version game - have found an old black and white map of the original Nova edition too so once I have that printed, along with the markers looking forward to old style game :)

Does this one work
Hmm…kinda a long link but it works for me. I may have misunderstood and this is for a different game. Still a fun one :)

That link doesn’t work for me, and since it points to rules named “World_at_War_3.1.pdf” I doubt that it will resolve to what he wants. I sent him a copy I have of the rules, so his request has been taken care of.

Too bad that link doesn’t work for you. It works for me. Glad you got him taken care of, or well hopefully you did, since he didn’t say. :)

wow too bad. Maybe midnight will try again and give you a link that works this time :)

@barnee all good, Midnight kindly offered to email me the files - I’ve been working on the game pieces today - got the unit cards posted in the forums printed on a board paper (which is thin enough for my printer), glued them to another piece of board paper, laminated them and then cutting them out one by one. (which is pretty tedious). Probs going to have another go at the map - want to upsize it as it seems a bit crowded with the units on (maybe x 175%) - great project over the holidays :pig:

If you’ve come here, looking to get your own copy of the rules to the Nova Game Designs edition of Axis & Allies, I am now able to help you … courtesy of another web site.
With help from Krieghund, I was able to post the rules as a file on Boardgamegeek.com. You can find it as a file under Axis and Allies.
I hope this is helpful to you, kindly Time Traveler.
