Right.  If your goal is to play in the playoffs, you just play 4 weak players, win those games and then sit on 4-0 until the playoffs, and then you get waxed, unless your opponent did the same thing  :lol:

Unfortunately, the only person or persons with the authority to give us what we are asking for are absent and/or very uninvolved.  :-(

Just an update here, for those who do not want to read the league rules thread:

If you have 12 games completed, against at least 6 different opponents, then you may add another game against an opponent that you already have 2 games with.  If that 4th game results in a tie between the two of you, then a 5th tie breaker game may be played as well.

This is only for the AAG40 league.

i couldn’t agree more.  but zhukov is really 8-1 because he’s going to lose to cow.

Never know. He could end up winning. He has a pretty good shot at taking Russia with Germany. Japan should crack the Yunnan stack 75% of the time to make it possible for Russia to fall.

Those two battles decide the game. If that goes awry for me then I have to stop a VC win in Europe you know all while containing Japan to his little island.

I used to have a button I wore to GenCon that said: “Good dice beat good tactics any day!”  Just thought of it when you said that.

Okay, I’ll risk a tripleA match….prefer Battlemap, and I will probably have to be walked through making the program work given certain situations, like placing bids, etc.  PM me, please don’t count on me seeing a post here!

I have no bloody clue. lol.  It was a game from just after the league started, it was probably against Boldfresh, I think…but if he didn’t report it, :P~  I clearly missed the 72 hour mark as I have not posted in it since at least December, so whoever was playing should have declared in the results thread. (Not that I think it matters at this point in time.)

I’ll take a challenger, however, TripleA is insane, it won’t load on my system and it used too not that long ago.  Wondering if it’s because I upgraded to IE 10…

Okay, it seems I cannot load Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0 because it is incompatible with windows 7 64 bit running windows patches that came out in the last couple of months.  So….Veqryn, FIX YOUR ENGINE. :P  (It is never Microsoft’s error, you must make your programs compatible, resistance is futile!  Lower your shields and prepare to be boarded…oh wait wrong game!)

Oh, and I strongly recommend you use my spreadsheet and find a tier 3 player to play.

There is a serious learning curve in this game and if you play somebody who’s been concentrating on this game the past 6 months and who has been successful, you’ll just get your doors blown off.

Also, beware the rules.  There have been so many changes before 2nd edition, you need to be sure you have a good grasp of at least the NO’s, the turn order, etc.

30 games at a time and not losing at least 23 of them is pretty good if you ask me!  I topped out at around 12 games of Revised/Enhanced back when.  Shoulda seen my apartment back then, boards set up EVERYWHERE you couldn’t move without risking disaster (all played here by battlemap, just like the tactile sensation is all.)

Speaking of, anyone want 15 AA Revised games?  lol.  I also have a few anniversary games never opened and a few of the 82 or whatever version of classic never opened…just keeping my one G40 set.
