So then if a sub attacks a lone battleship, and misses, the battleship is then allowed to fire against the sub, but a battleship can’t ATTACK a sub unless the sub chooses to let it do so, right?
To be precise it is like this:
When a battleship in it’s cm enters a seazone with an enemy sub in it, the battleship may choose to either ignore the sub or attack the sub.
When the decision to attack is made, the submarine can choose to either face the attack (having a surprise strike unless there is no destroyer with the battleship)
or to submerge instead.
