G13… oof, this has become playoff level difficult
But I guess I had to figure out much of G13 to do I12, so maybe I’m halfway there or something
-
Apologize for 3 day wait, I’m alternating between you and Badger and had a big one against him that took me a few nights’ sleep, so many options.
You’re next, and so you know, I’m trying to keep things moving on my end because I’m only getting 3 OOB done this year and kinda interested in playoff. No pressure on you, just assuring you I’m interested in being done by 12/31 so will try to keep it moving.
I have been running into several good old computer games from 20-40 years ago, and some of them are new to me and very enjoyable, so I tend to go to those sometimes when a huge Germany turn where I’m facing an unstoppable Russian force financed by nearly as much money as I have, not to mention determined Americans with all the options of Spain. LOL you are so tough
I don’t remember for sure, but I think grabbing the African money with Russia is a key part to not losing as Allies. And facing that China bid for the first time - ouch. Healthy Russia and China are really hard to deal with. As I said in a review video, my experience has been that whichever side is doing very well in East Russia and China almost always wins. The really tight games are when each side has oneHave a great Friday, with the weekend I should be able to find the time and energy to muster up another embattled German turn
We have 4 superpowers, and you’ve been ganging up on one with your 2!! Not sure what will happen, but this is a fascinating game -
Anniversary edition this weekend for me. Live game
-
WOW!! That is a surprise.
I played a couple games of AA50 last month against the computer, once with just Italy, and once with all Axis. Man was that a different feel. I guess a big part of that was because I never used to play with TripleA, but with ABattlemap
Computer was a lot better than I expected. It was actually fun.Yeah I think I can make my move soon anyway, like I said most is figured out in order to do that Italy turn anyway
Pretty cool Australia took Greece walking through Turkey, I’ve never experienced that because I don’t remember any neutral crushes

Now that was the biggest blunder that I immediately realized right away, in a long time.
I’m not asking to take it back. I thought I had a 50/50 chance of sinking a destroyer, but instead I had a 50/50 chance of not only losing my prowling super sub in the Med that could convoy Spain or noncom to 91, I also succeeded in landing 2 of your planes on Spain which is a MUCH better position since the Germans aren’t attacking 91.
Could have been worse, but that is really bad.
Enjoy your gargantuan Russia. No extra NO’s yet!! But they’re coming

Yeah, that was somewhat of a strange attack, but you are much better at avoiding blunders than i am… i think you have pretty much ionly made solid moves here
-
I will try to move tomorrow or wednesday. Its a big move for the allies this round
-
Victory conditions are like this: “you must keep the required number of victory cities at end of turn x and still keep this number at start of round x+1” Right?
-
For the power in question
-
Close. It’s harder than that for the Axis.
They have to hold all those victory cities throughout that round.
So if after J20 Japan has Tokyo, Phill, Hong Kong, Hawaii, Kiangsu and just took WUS, Japan has victory conditions.
It is not enough to also hold 6 at the end of J21.
If USA liberates WUS on US20, the clock is stopped. J would have to take WUS back again on J21, and hold it until J22 without Allies getting any city back.Taking one of the required cities that takes the total below 6 stops the victory until Japan can secure 6 again, at which time the clock starts and Japan must hold 6 throughout a round of play until coming to the beginning of the next Japan turn. No need to play that turn since cities have been held a round
-
Rulebook page 34 on “How the War is Won” simply states "The Axis wins the game by controlling either 8 victory cities on the Europe map or any 6 victory cities on the Pacific map for a complete round of play (ending with the next turn of the Axis power that captured the final required city)…
“complete round of play” is properly interpreted that none of those required Cities was ever taken back after the last city was taken.
So if Japan managed to capture cities 6 and 7 on Japan turn, the Allies couldn’t disrupt the victory by only taking 1 city because Japan would still have controlled 6 cities for a complete round of play
-
i wil try to do USSR now
-
I think I just won my other game. I now have 6 aircraft carriers with Germany on G8 and am about to sink the Allied Atlantic fleet with 11 transports, and taking over factories in Persia and Iraq, barring extreme dice
So maybe I’ll be able to pick up my slow pace a little.
