I am having a hard time vs farmboy in the other game where more or less everything is below average dice.
I guess the french inf bid paid off this time. Its a silly bid but fun to do.
I think it works better in BM if you want to avoid vichy

About attacking or ignoring subs -
Am I forgetting something? Reading the rules, it looks like the moving player can decide whether to attack subs/transports during the combat phase! Triple A asks for decisions at the beginning of the combat phase, but I don’t see that is even required.
So I guess you do not have to tell me whether you are attacking or ignoring those subs. I don’t recall such a situation, but nevertheless, I won’t send any kamikazes anyway. Since my cruisers are both at the bottom of the ocean.
And kamikazes don’t force a sea battle with the subs, so I guess I can’t stop the landing on Korea.

And then it appears to me you could choose whether to attack or ignore the subs until it comes time to conduct the amphibious assault on Korea (and whether to attack subs in zone 6)Of course you’re ignoring the subs because you don’t want to risk a failure, but this is very interesting for future play for each of us.
I was thinking you had to declare whether you were attacking subs at the beginning of the combat phase (probably due to Triple A) but I can’t find anything in the rulebook that says you have to. Let me know if you don’t understand what I’m trying to say.
