Hello from Dallas,
I am a new member from Dallas as of yesterday.
Here is another way you can play against the computer

Not too bad, except I can never figure out how to send troops across the ocean.
Hi @Cody_Burton Welcome to the site. In addition to the awesome information @eisenhower provided, which i was unaware of as well, you can play on triplea also

Hi all warmongers!
I am Ron and discharged from military since 2016. I only started playing A&A 3 years ago. Loves the game so much that I bought D-Day to “entice” my son into it! I’m lucky to have a bunch of good buddies to play the game once in awhile but due to the current covid situation we have to stop for awhile. Be responsible and stay safe guys!
Ron aka Bigwatcher
@bigwatcher Nice to meet you! It’s awesome that you have a group to play with!
@bigwatcher WELCOME!
Yes, not being able to play in person sucks. Can’t wait for life to return to normal and being able to play face to face again.
WELCOME!
@tincanofthesea yep…lucky that the country i come from is kinda small, meeting up for game is not a problem at all
@andrewaagamer Thanks!..yes can’t wait for things to be back to norm soon.
Hi, anikom15 here. I’ve been playing since the MB days.
I came here to ask questions. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of time to play games these days but still play on occasion. I’m interested in simulation design (on the board and via software) and like to study the design process of various board games.
I’m in the Los Angeles area. If you are looking for a player, DM me.
Welcome aboard. Are you familiar with TripleA? It’s what most people use on the forum to play games with each other electronically. It’s also open as an engine for anyone to design new games/scenarios on. It might be of interest if you’re into designing games.
There’s also the below thread which houses conversations on a lot of custom variants people have come up with. Balance Mod and Path to Victory exist in Triple A and are the most played in the league.

I worked on a 1940 Global Alternate Universe map/game which you can check out here if you’re interested:

Hello, from michigan havent played online so new to me…
@djensen Hello, I’m Mike from Central Pennsylvania. I’ve been an avid wargamer fan nearly all my life. Currently my favorite is the Anniversary and the WW1 editions.
Recently I posted a new variant that I have been working on for Korea. Hope everyone has a chance to look it over and give me some constructive feedback.
New to this forum thing and the game. My favorite is world at war, however i cant get family to play, especially at a high level, and am tired of beating up the computer. Looking for opponents to do a 1v1 world at war, I will play either side. If I find some good matches to play against and we play multiple games, I feel it would be very fun to eventually have fun bets on the games, get some really pressure decision making going. Commitment level is maybe 1 turn a day? So game would likely be a few months. Any thoughts or challengers?
@koba2 welcome to the forums! I enjoy World @ War… pm me if you’d like to start a game and we can work out the details.
@koba2 WELCOME!
I am just interested in history. I joined because of the Battle of Midway, an underrated victory.
Where are you from?
My dad was Navy, so we moved around tons during my childhood. I am not from any single place, so let’s just say the south eastern USA (worth 12 IPC!).
What Axis & Allies games do you like to play?
I have not played enough versions to develop preferences. The ones I have played, I highly enjoyed.
How often do you play?
I am almost always involved in a game online. I am hungry for some in-person games. Thanks covid.
Do you use any customizations (tables, painted pieces) or house rules?
I do not, am purist on house rules, but flexible. Painted pieces i love the idea truly, perhaps once I’m not working full time.
Hi Chrono,
Welcome to the forum.
If you have painted playing pieces, you can post some pictures under “Customization”. We would like to see more like this.
You can also find inspiration concerning house rules & painted pieces etc. at “Customization - House Rules” - look for “The Captain’s Global 1940 House Collection”.
Many players have posted pics. of their painted pieces, customized game boards etc. Lots of inspiration.
The Global 1940 Game Report Thread will also give you some insight in the use of house rules - and pictures from games with both painted and unpainted playing pieces, from multiple Axis & Allies players.
