Assumed no scramble to defend the Japanese DD in SZ 17 and 32 as there was a 97% chance of US victory and little to be gained.
Asked about scramble in SZ 99 because it would have taken out all the UK subs (but at a cost of 6 planes). I did not think it was likely you would sacrifice 6 planes for the sake of 6 subs and the Italian economy but wanted to provide that option.
