    Btw, you never gave me a lesson of hints and tricks after our first game. :crying_cat_face:

    so we’ll start with a few points in this game:

    1. too many factories! G doesn’t need that many facs on Russian soil, as it already should own 3 of the Russian ones, plus output fast units from Berlin. G benefits greatly from having lots of fast units, particularly mechs. J doesn’t need so many facs either. 2 to 3 should be enough. Later on those same facs can be such a liability, as you can see now, as they are easy juicy bombing targets for the allies.
    2. too many tanks! G benefits more from having a greater number of mechs. tanks are expensive, but the ratio of mechs to tanks should be much higher.
    3. Italy should have been playing a bigger role in helping to defend the western front, so as to free the germans up to do more offensive work in the east. your push to grab the Middle East took away from this defensive role for the Italians, when the germans could’ve easily overtaken the Middle East and then placed a much bigger pressure on egypt.
    4. where are your can openers on the eastern front??? that’s a HUGE factor in a successful eastern operation, as it really helps to keep the Russians subdued.
    5. Probably too much navy for the euro axis… this one is debatable I suppose, as I too like to buy navy, but it can backfire in a big way if you’re not carefully planning it out for the long term, as what happened so far in this game. Just be extra judicious about your naval spending! :)
    6. stop rushing your turns and especially, playing so late when you’re tired, as you’re making loads of mistakes. as I said last time we played, you’re definitely a sharp player, i can see a lot bigger potential in you, but you can’t be making so many mistakes. slow down and play more carefully, give more thought to your turns.

  • I did know that lacking italian can-openers was making Germany’s push a lot more difficult. Did regret it neglecting it.

    About what ratio mech/tank would you say is rational for G?

    I think I actually only built the mICs in Kwangtung and Malaya because the chinese ones was being slaughtered. I usually prefer to have maximum 3 mICs on the east coast. Since you push me around I couldn’t protect the sensitive chinese ones. Likely bad play on my part.

    Could or should J have tried to prevent US from landing in Korea?
