We use the houserule, that Axis has to win or is to strong on turn 10, then they win and otherwise they lose.
How many G40 games have you played?
-
Roughly (or precisely) how many games (meaning at least 4 full rounds) of 1940 Global have you played? (table top experiences only)
-
Probably something like 3. 🤯
-
In person? 10-20 the past two years. Same two opponents though.
-
@Young-Grasshopper perhaps 80. I am sure it isn’t 100 anyway.
-
Probably 12 to 15. Been playing alot in the past year or so.
-
I’m a longtime A&A player but only just bought G40 earlier this year. I’ve played 4 games so far. Axis have won every time. I have not yet done any bids, because I wanted to see if the Allies could with without a bid. However I’m now thinking I should start doing bids in future games to give the Allies a fighting chance.
I’m currently in the middle of game number 5. For this game I’m using the YG tournament rules and card deck, along with a handful of expansions from HBG. So far I like the tourney rules and the expansions.
-
< 100 here. Probably somewhere in the 70s. G40 has been out for an awfully long time now, so I don’t remember. Definitely not enough games to consider myself “good” or “experienced” at it, though.
-
You definitely should try wining without bids. If you look at the allied playbook and the victory conditions thread, we are definitely making progress. Global is not an average axis and allies game. It is completely different and is tilted towards the allies. What you need to win with the allies is a battle plan and stick with it. And remember, America is the key Come up with a plan for America and stick with it. React if you can but focus on the plan. If its a good plan, then you will win. If its a bad one you will fail.

maybe 150 counting face to face and Triple A
-
Over 20 games over the last 3 years or so
-
40-50 games since release. Not a single one online.
-
@Young-Grasshopper Best guess is our group has played at least three dozen games over the last two or three years. The core three of us have played the majority, with a few odd new players here and there. We only play table top, none of us have played Triple A.
-
My groups been playing A+A for about 15 years and G40 about 20 full games in the past couple years.
-
I bought all the global board games but never played as table top via face to face…:white_frowning_face: mostly playing via Triple A. about 10-15 games perhaps. I used to play a lot more 42 2E though. I guess 30-40 via Triple A and a few with friends in weekend.
-
- I have an annual game with friends since 2017. That’s it. It’s the best we can do to all take a full day to play with work and family commitments. We play the alternate G42 setup now.
Game 3 is this weekend though!
-
I’ve played 14 tabletop games. About 6 against the computer in AAA and 2 against myself. I need to play an AAA game at some point with someone…
-
I reckon about 30, only one against a different opponent. Could be more actually, considering how long and how often I was playing.
About 200 online, perhaps more, including standard and Balanced Mod.
-
100+ since I started playing 1940 global.
-
0 face-to-face. 5-10 with TripleA.
-
@Young-Grasshopper Sadly I’ve had this game since it came out and have yet to play anyone in person. Zero players where I live in NJ:(
