    In your second attempt I can see the 5443 roll. But I never got that one, neither in TripleA nor as mail.
    How is that possible?

  • I am mostly curious, to be clear I still do not doubt your honesty and sportsmanship.

    I did have a separate e-mail for the defense that came to me at 8:58, a different time than the other 2.


  • Looking at your screenshot, it looks like you only got the 1 roll so far? Not even the defense? And like you said, definitely not the repeated offense roll that had different numbers.

    Do you use local a lot and alternate with PM and do mock moves? (I sure don’t :grinning: but I know people do)

  • There are many posts, but I am not seeing the end of the turn map.
    We need to see if we can discover something about this MARTI e-mail, too. You did not run the turn more than once in more than one instance of Triple A, then

    I do sometimes do mock turns, but not very often. I did not do it with this Italy turn (if I recall correctly).

    I did some thinking and I do have a pretty good idea of what happened. When I play lots of turns in a row without closing TripleA in between, the engine crashes.

    Sometimes it freezes, sometimes it’s just super super slow (unplayable slow), sometimes it doesn’t load at all and I even have to restart my computer. In all cases, I have to shut down TripleA with the task manager.

    I can show you the error the next time I encounter it. Something with “java heap” somethingsomething.

    Now most of the time this error occurs when loading a map, but occasionally it happens while playing.
    It never occured to me that the engine freezes but still loads and rolls the combat in background. This is what must have happened.
    But why did the engine send you a mail but not me?

    And yeah, I did not get the defense Mail either. Someone (I think it was even you!) mentioned in the League general discussion thread, that Yahoo Mail works better than GMail and this case seems to confirm it. I think I’m gonna create a Yahoo Mail for MARTI.

    I’m not sure what happened. I did get the e-mail with 5,5,4,3 6 minutes before the one that is in game, in the save file.

    The rolls in MARTI have been out of order, though, too. And last night the MARTI connection froze on my last die roll of a turn against elche.

    If they are out of order, you definitely scored 1 hit, but could possibly be a 2nd hit, if that 4 was for the bomber.

    I am happy with my defense roll.
    I would be very happy if I only took 1 hit (and I probably would have taken a plane off instead of the destroyer if you asked me a casualty having scored only 1 hit).

    So if you honorably go with a roll that looks like 1 hit, I would ask that you replace a fighter with the destroyer especially to disrupt the NO.

    However, as I said I can’t be sure that first roll didn’t actually score 2 hits. I offer you 3 options:

    1. Stay with only 1 Italian hit and let me change my casualty to lose a plane instead of the destroyer
    2. I will split it with you and give you 2 hits against the Americans and you leave a destroyer in the water
    3. Re-roll the Italian attack, with a maximum of 3 hits and a minimum of 1 hit. Because your better (albeit, later) roll was 3 hits, and the first MARTI e-mail was for at least 1 hit, could have been 2.
      If you score 3 hits, I would have lost the destroyer for sure.

    I don’t know what happened, but I trust you a lot. That’s why I don’t like option #1.
    Please consider, and I hope you choose #2 or #3 or maybe you have an option 4 I didn’t think of - thanks man!!! But especially thanks for not destroying all my stuff! :flushed:

    Hm, probably because I finalized the turn in Local mode because I didn’t want to confuse us by rolling again.

    I actually did #1 earlier, but I’ll gladly take your offer and reroll the attack!

    Exactly, I think I tried to explain that before when I said you were “playing with fire”. Now it looks like you got too many hits, but I wonder why you took infantry off (which is exactly what I would have done) and that is a big bummer I only scored 1 hit. (Don’t have time right now to look at the move)

    So you scored 8 and without looking at the map, I’m sure I would take 8 infantry and suck you in.

    You can’t retreat from transports or AAA.
