    Italy needs to buy an airbase on NI for that but there is no reason they can’t or won’t do so. Even if I run to Persia or Trans-Jordan, you can still attack with good odds. The Neutral crush has been pretty good for the Axis I think.

    I think my play style has lacked imagination in this game and several others. For example, US3 I could have landed on Korea and I know how awesome that is - can be reinforced by USSR so units can then be pumped out of a factory there. A couple of other mistakes with USA.

    @simon33 Yes, if planned for it can really kill the Allied supply line to the Med. With the strong position in ME, I went for it. Also needed to do something extra with Germany since Japan was getting pounded.

    This was one of the more exciting games between us I think.

    I agree with UK! You simply spent all IPCs on ground units in Egypt, Persia and SA for many rounds, not threatening anywhere, only conserving. Also, the kill Japan first strategy with US left Germany too unopposed.

    I will check US3 like you mention.

    Actually I wasn’t worried so much about the Middle East, that is somewhere I should have stuck more closely to the script. The idea there is to build up a force which can then move into the Caucasus The Iraq mIC should go down UK3, instead it didn’t go down until UK6, to have you immediately bomb it. Why didn’t I think you would do so? I can see I had priorities UK3 & UK4 but I could have dropped it UK5 at least. A bit of a risk to not have this early because Axis can sweep through the few troops in the Middle East. Maybe I should have sent some units from India to help.

    I’m more thinking about scenarios in the Pacific - There were times I could have moved my India stack out to hold Burma, which means you can trade Shan State and invalidate it as a landing space for attacking SZ39. There was a point US7 where I took Marshall Is and Palau so I could move back to the Carolines but forgot about New Guinea.

    I don’t think sending the UK Indian Ocean fleet to escort the Americans is worth it either. They are better in the Med.

    G11 I lost some ships in SZ92 - that was a bit frustrating, should have foreseen that.

    I think not attacking either fleet G1 was a mistake so it is a bit of a blow to fail to capitalise. Well played though.
