Non combat move into SZ next to hostile territory

Combat will result in any case in which units from opposing sides are in the same space during the Combat phase, regardless of how they got there.

Ya… I liked the Tigers from 1941 so much, I bought extra ones from HBG. All my tank bins for each country has 30 tanks in them, and I’m pretty sure I got like 10 Tigers and 20 Panthers in my German one (I think 1941 only comes with 5 Tigers… I had to buy more from HBG).

US planes can land there. The territory to land on must be friendly at the beginning of the nation’s turn.
In the given scenario UK cannot land in the newly captured territory, as it has not been friendly at the beginning of UK’s turn.
On US turn the territory is British and thus friendly to the US.

I think I know the answer to my own question and the answer is I have no option but to engage in dice battle and to either keep battling or retreat back to where I came from.

Right, the purpose of the Combat Move Phase is to move into hostile territories to either initiate combat (against hostile units) or just capture the territory (in case there are no enemy combat units present).
