It depends on what “work” means – in other words, on whether players would consider a Kursk scenario appealing. Conceptually, Kursk would be similar to A&A D-Day (minus the water) in the sense that the battle was fundamentally a frontal assault on a heavily-defended static position, and similar to A&A Battle of the Bulge in the sense that it would involve ground forces driving into enemy lines, but different from both games in the sense that from the German point of view Kursk was a pincer movement aimed at pinching off a salient, and that from the Russian point of view it was a two-stage offensive-defensive battle. Personally I think it has good potential to make an interesting game, if it’s designed properly.

You didn’t have 2 sets of rules for Eastern Front game ? I was looking at this game and map like 4 5 years ago. I do have rules and a map on file. I’ll have to look and see what I have. I will be using some of these rules in my 40 game maybe.
You didn’t have a 2nd set of Eastern Front rules with Game Masters ?
-
Hey IL, I remember from your old website you had an eastern front map where the territories were cut into hexagons. Not the huge one, but a smaller one. Ring any bells?
-
Or was it Game Dreamers ? I know you sold me your pdf file map for WW2 game.

Yes and that file was also found as like 2 others, but the one you speak of did see the light of day ( printed it out and played many times, the others not). I cant throw that out as a freebee. I may still make that a game.
You know i can send it to HBG…good idea
That map was awesome BTW and huge. the smaller one was played to death and too me wasn’t that fun. I will look and post if i find it.

Which map is for the Eastern front ?
Which map is for the War in the East ?
Which one was better ?

Which map is for the War in the East
Thats an other map. Its quite good and large, you wanted the smaller ones which i posted and are all eastern front style games.
The best one will go to HBG. i want to see what they do with it and it probably happens to be the one you really want. I will post some playtest pics and you can tell me if its the one.

I have the big one, but never played it. Never found anyone wanting the challenge. Also I had it printed out on 2 huge posters making it a little unwieldy.

Yes, that is it!
That is a great map! I made a few minor alterations on it. I think the 1942 starting line crosses the Don River right north of stalingrad, which didn’t happen. Also, I think there was a direct rail head to Stalingrad from the east.
Here is an image:

Thats the one to be submitted to HBG, im interested to see what alterations you made. I mean to say those were the only two changes?
-
I see that one hex control is German and its over the river Volga. I need to check on things. I can always edit it.

No, there were a few other minor things. I think I slightly moved some of the cities around? Maybe altered some rail roads? I’ll see if I can’t dig up the map.

Hey, I found it!
If you want, I can PM/email you list of changes I made for historical accuracy.

Yes, thats the map I’ve seen before.
Question, how many pieces aloud in each hex ?
War In The East setup just random deploy or setup charts ? I only scanned the rules to see if I had them.

let me dig up the rules…

Regarding the game with the really nice map, It says 4 land units per hex, unlimited air
