Ouch. I didn’t think you would risk Yunnan. That’s a rough start for the good guys.
It was certainly a good start for the Axis.
I think it is worth the risk as the odds are slightly favorable for the Axis and they still can retreat if it does not go their way.
If you want to prevent that attack either put another Russian fighter there or at least put a Chinese fighter instead of inf maybe.
However, this attack could have gone wrong, then we would probably discuss how good the decision was to exactly that forces to Yunnan.
The fact that I could decide to take a 3rd air down to deny arty for the Chinese was fortunate. I believe the right thing to do given the choices I had.
Yeah the calc says 50% with an average tuv swing of -8. I would have been satisfied with a totally even outcome there, but the dices didn’t favor me.
When considering my bid I thought it was more likely you would risk the 110/111 attack with Germany than the attack on Yunnan. I guess bidding a fig rather than an inf to Yunnan would help but in that case the 7 ipcs has to come from somewhere else.
I ran it 30k times and had it on 51/6/43 -7 average
I guess you can’t just give a 40 bid and expect to easily get a dominant Axis position without taking any risks. If it would be that easy, every player was just stupid this season to take the Allies for any amount below 35^^

I am sure you will provide a maximun level final with no doubts, it will be a very interesting game to watch. I will do so, for sure.
That bid makes it hard for Japan J1. I also think you have to attack Yunnan as I did in the semifinal rematch that we are playing too, but it is true that the bid makes the combat very tight, so it puts a lot of the game destiny on Marti´s hands. Damm, you need nerves of steel (spetially on a final I guess) and you really suffer the second that you are waiting to see the reds and the blacks on that specific Marti response… What happened here, as opposed to our rematch game, makes it hard for the Allies, but still anything can happen. I hope Marti does not make it a dice game and we see a beautiful show.
