Thank you for sharing variance.

Makes a good argument for rebalancing Axis and Allies to have a strong Russia. The Germans were bled white fighting them.
-
Indeed. As well as a strong China. They are far to easily beaten by the Japanese.

Unfortunately, if the game reflected reality, the Axis would almost never win.

Too true. In 1942, the Soviet Union produced 3 - 4 times as many land weapons as Germany, and nearly twice as many military aircraft. While both nations increased military production between '42 and '44, Germany increased at a faster rate. Germany produced slightly more military aircraft than the Soviets in '44, while also producing far more land units than it had in '42. However, by that point it was too late to affect the outcome of the war.
To return to the subject of the OP: that was an excellent video, and gives a very good perspective on the sheer scale of that conflict. Especially the Nazi-Soviet War.

I saw this yesterday and was impressed by it. I wasn’t able to see some of the charts as well as I’d have liked, but it looked as if Ghengis was the #1 slayer on a per captia basis. I wonder how they determined the deaths in the early conflicts? Anyway I thought it was well done.
