Japanese A&A Pacific 2nd Edition Color Match
Hey All.
If you are looking to match the default color for the Japanese, try Vallejo Liquid Acrylic 804 Transparent Orange and Model color 140 Flat Brown mixed 30 to 1 sprayed on an undercoat of 131 Orange Brown. It’s a dead match.

I got these for my Middle East Neutrals

I’ve always had a problem with HBG’s “orange” Japanese units not being of the same tone of orange from OOB A&A… most other colors of custom HBG units seem to match pretty good, but that orange always seemed off to me… so much so I’ve never kept a custom HBG Japanese unit in my nation bins… sad, cuz I really like some of them.

(and yes, I’m one of those anal-retentive guys where if the color is just off a tad, it “ruins” it for me… I know I’m odd that way).

––I’ve come to prefer the new HBG markers for some of the same reasons you’ve just mentioned: They’re thicker, thus easier to pick-up and they are have much improved graphics and colors over the OOB markers. See below: OOB on left,….HBG on right.
----For most ot the “standard” territory markers, I still prefer having the bases of my Infantry units painted with their national insignia, thus making it unecessary to have to use “territory markers” at all.
