Jeff, How do I indicate if I want to be the Axis?  If I say Allies +6, they’ll think I want to be the Allies!  Would I say Axis -6?

I just started this year, so I’m not the bidding expert.

Well, the way I do it is you start the bidding for the allies at a high number, like +12 or +15 and then when it falls to a point you think it’s worth it to be Axis like from +10 down then you let them have the allies at that bid that you can stand to give them.

It’s tough, sometimes you get stuck with the side you don’t want. It’s a game of chicken.

Or you could both agree to play the same bid, where you could play each side once at whatever bid you two both think is fair. That makes the two of you come up with a number fair in both your minds.

For guys just starting out I would look to find an opponent from the tier 3 guys on Gamerman’s list and play a pair of games with each player getting to play both sides at the same bid for a more fun experience as you get your feet wet.
