Yes to the sandbag entrenchment. The pillbox or bunker being a common unit can be white and then painted any color by the purchaser.

Also, if you attack a territory with fortifications and capture it, you can use those fortifications against the enemy like you do with ICs and air/naval bases. A good example of this is when Germany overran France, they captured the Maginot Line. Then in 1944 when the Allies were driving the Germans back, the Germans actually used the Maginot Line to good effect against the Allies. Therefore, any fortifications, gun emplacements, pillboxes, etc. should be the light grey like the ICs and AA guns. That way they can be used by any nation and it will be much easier and cheaper for coach to make them, thus quicker for him to get them to us.

yeah at first i was thinking, i would like it for my a NA for germany for the house rules my buddies and i play. but making them one generic color makes more sense for saving coach money, and it wouldn’t change our rules at all

and you would ent need to do that just use the grey one for your H rules

I am using the Coastal guns from Singapore 1942 game for fortifications. They look great on the board. I only need to buy three more to get the 15 listed in the set up. Also, aren’t the fortifications destroyed when you capture the territories they are in ? Ref to cmike post.

Alright this is a bit overly complicated but what would be kool is if you made a piece that was a seawall that had little (American) soldiers crouching in front of it. You could use this is a fortification piece or for a variant. Otherwise go with the Atlantic Wall Gun.

How about something Pacific Island style defense. Heavy gun peaking out of hill. Okinawa style defense system. Just a thought. A german blockhouse will look silly on Iwo Jima.
