Simon, I am also baffled by what happened in Russia since we are missing the critical first few rounds in that BM game. Adam is one of the top players, if not the top player, in the world and I am sure that he didn’t make mistakes. Unfortunately the thread missed out on the initial setup and openings so I can’t explain how Moscow was so easily captured. Regardless, the Allies are still very much alive and the combined factories in Egypt and Iraq are making it very tough for the Axis to push further south. I am sure that Adam will fly over a bunch of planes when it is critical to make a stand in the oilfields.
Alpha +1 rule US Minor ICs
-
8. All 3 Minor ICs in the continental US automatically are immediately converted to Major ICs when the US is at war. They can be upgraded at any time for 20 IPCs.
Here is the rule, but right below the automatically and immediately converted part there is the "they can be upgraded at any time for 20 ipcs?
Can someone explain this?
-
Before the US is at war, it can upgrade any of its minor ICs for 20 ipcs. Once the US is at war, any remaining minor ICs are automatically upgraded at no cost.
-
Ok, that makes sense now. Thanks.
-
why would you ever even bother to upgrade them at all?

So you can build 7 extra units against a passive-aggressive Japan
-
I can almost build 7 MORE infantry for the $20 if I just wait until there is a DOW.

I meant ships.

can you upgrade the minor complexes to major status paying the 20 IPCs while still neutral?
No.

No.
They changed that rule.
