Damage chips

We currently use the same chips for multiple units as we do to mark damage on AB, NB, and IC after bombing raids. This can become cumbersome with all the units and such on the board as well. Has anyone found a “smaller” chip that would fit the base and IC marker tiles maybe like 1/2" in diameter.

Which version of the game (and accompanying chips) are you using? If I’m not mistaken, 2nd Edition has smaller chips than previous versions… if you have an older version, you might seek 2nd Edition chips… if you’re already using 2nd Edition and want even smaller chips… hmmm… that might be a chore… not sure where you’d look at that point…
Only thing I could think of is maybe think outside the box… get more Industrial Complexes and mark or paint them different from your default IC’s… like orange or black to denote damaged.

Go to Amazon. I found 1/2 in bingo chips there. 150 diff color chips ( number damage )for like $5.00. Also sell 300 chip pkgs.

I think the chips are perfect size. Buy some Orange and Black ones from HBG. Orange is (5) and Black is (1). Also makes it look like fire and smoke. :)

FYI, if anyone is trying to order chips that are out of stock on HBG (like as mentioned in this thread, Orange is in-stock, but Black [and Red] is out of stock), you can just order them from Amazon.com. The chips HBG sells (like Orange) are [ Mini Plastic Poker Chips 7/8" ]… try searching Amazon with that info and add the color you want… those are the same size HBG sells and stack perfectly with them. I had previously ordered Orange chips from HBG, but Black was out of stock… while waiting for HBG to restock, I checked Amazon, found 7/8" black chips and ordered them… when they came in, they stacked perfectly with the Orange chips I got from HBG.
Just putting that out there if anyone is searching for them.

And you’re the guy suggesting Orange and Black chips! Great idea, but I’m totally reversing your suggestion of black is one and orange is five… I look at it this way… if it’s on fire (orange), that’s one… if you’ve been on fire five times over… man… that’s all burnt out (blackx5)… lolz! :-D

That makes good sense. We usually put the black chips on top but did the opposite last game.

We use yellow for one and orange for five damage.
