Very late, but seconded.
Happy Holidays
-
Yea i hate happy holidays too. Its totally bogus. In the late 70’s everything was Merry Christmas… then a bunch of weirdos started doing the “xmas” thing because the word ‘Christ’ was part of the word. Then Jewish people started a campaign of 2 things: 1) add the idea that on Hanukkah you get lots of presents (when that was never the idea) and 2) replace Merry Christmas with happy holidays and replace Santa with the Menorah. ( check the banks for evidence)
However, this applies to only California. I cannot comment on other states because i do not have first hand experience. I can only tell you how incrementallism changed California.
I do know in Utah ( go figure) that about 99.9999999% of that state still says “Merry Christmas” in nearly every shop because i have been in Utah.
I suspect this thing exists in New York, Florida, some parts of the south, and California.
Kwanzaa is also a California thing.

Happy Holidays to All!

Well, I’m not saying you have to go with CHRIST-MASS (the extra S for savings! As in Christ Saves!, no seriously, it was originally a mass held on a pagan holiday.) But if not Christ Mass then Happy Hanauka or Happy Kawanza or Happy Greed Day or Happy go Lucky or even better, Merry Getting Lucky Day! Just don’t give me the generic.
BTW, my response to Happy Holidays is “Generic Response!”
