Japan Unveils Largest Warship Since WWII
-
What Japan needs is a galaxy class federation starship.
Bah, useless. A D’Deridex or Moghai would wipe the floor with them with plenty of time left over for afternoon tea!
-
In my opinion, in the current environment, Japan would never go to war with the United States.
The Indian Ocean may be a requirement when chasing the Chinese perhaps.
-
Now, we’ve established that for 8 IPC’s those are “destroyers”.
Just imagine the Cruiser, Carrier, or Battleship…
-
What makes you guys think and be so sure that Japan has no plan to attack the U.S.?
After all, Japan has the top motiv for it, don`t they?!…
-
Japan will probably never attack the US again.
They need to take back Formosa, Manchukuo, and Korea first to even be in the ballgame.
The worry is China trying to make good on all these claims over various independent nations.
Good that most of these require sea travel and China has little naval capabilities.

Although I believe that “used” to be an accurate assessment… I don’t believe it is anymore.
The chinese have constructed a series of advanced sub pens along their coast, aswell as a interlinking network of “sub tunnels” that spider web across their mainland, allowing them to hide nuclear equipment anywhere, in inaccessible areas, and move portions of their navy, undetected over land.
And almost all formal naval combat drills done at the naval base here in Esquimalt by US, Canadian, and other pacific forces, are always against a force “strongly” resembling those chinese.
It’s also a concern, that the leading edge of some of the best “weather control” technology today, is by the chinese.
In talking to several senior naval intelligence staff (Both US and Canadian) it’s common knowledge that the chinese have the naval forces in place to lock down the entire south east pacific, and chinese seas.
I would also caution that the reds would likely find significant support in some of their “overseas chinese” groups as well.
They should not be trifled with loosely.

The plot thickens!
India just launched an Aircraft Carrier of it’s own! and powers up a nuclear sub!
Well… it’s still sort of under construction, but you get the idea.
-
That is clearly a Destroyer. Or a giant Tandoori oven.
-
TBH no one can tell them apart, they’re all carrier, battleship, destroyer hybrids these days.
-
IL, you still pissed that you can’t differentiate between modern naval vessels?
Diapers, you still so gonna spank kids when they get older? When you do tell them it’s a Carrier ok?

they’re really getting to old to spank. not that spanking won’t do any good, but I can’t freaking CATCH THEM anymore!

Spanking is one of the worst things to do. Bad parenting. What is worse is calling the child a LHD.

Right, spanking a kid who is engaging in activities that could result in their death is the worst thing you can do.
For instance, I’ve used spanking for: Playing in the street; Playing with the steak knives (chasing each other and pretending to want to stab each other); Playing with the stove; etc.
However if they log into my computer and make it sick, I make them sit there and watch the AV programs. Just appropriate. lol.
-
Did you ever call the kids a LHD?
Never do that. Emotional scars for life. It seems to instill anger in them and latter when they grow up…. they may troll internet forums.
-
what is a LHD?
-
Landing Helicopter Dock.
-
@Cmdr:
what is a LHD?
a Larry Harris Disciple? of course here that would be a good thing. :-D
-
Imperious Chunker.
-
Derpgantua.
