He’s right.
But I have spent more than you probably think. I have spent 35 IPC’s on 7 dice and got 2 hits. That’s above average, but not a whole lot.
Upper 33%ile where 50% is the median.
Bold has experienced much higher success rates from me than that in the past, and at the worst possible moments. Consider yourself lucky so far. :-)
I mean, heck, I got super subs when the USA could not attack anybody! Watch out when I get LRA when you’re not expecting it!!
Put another way, with any LESS success, I would be UNLUCKY. 1 hit in 7 tries is of course not lucky. So I have to be either above or below average right now. Sorry, but I’m above.

granted, tech certainly has a much diminished effect in G40 compared to AA50, but still, there is already so much more strategy in G40 that i have not yet had the slightest desire to add tech to the mix.

USA Shipyards and LRA are right up there too. I wouldn’t call them THE key techs :-)
