Well, so did I, when I was making combat moves…
I guess I was thinking the fighters could make it back to UK - or I was thinking I was going to lose most everything anyway…

You cant expect to win 2 50-50s, I figured a couple air live and I get the middle east and egypt

I wasn’t - I was hoping to at least reduce you to 3 fighters in Alex (median result) and achieve a wipeout in Z91 (it was like 60-30-10)

But 40% chance of taking out 6 German air in Alexandria - that’s a chance I had to take - might have been decisive - but anyway, dice were what they were - no extreme results, so we gotta be happy about that

What kind of calcs are you using, is there a better program than the in-game version?
I would love one that could show me the average result for one round of combat for strafes and air battles.

Way better. I hesitate to give my effective tools to my enemies, though.
The one I use is designed for AA50, however, so I have to make adjustments and estimates for things like 2-hit carriers and tactical bombers.
I also developed a spreadsheet (suprise, surprise) that helps me with the bigger battles.
Triple A calc only giving you expected overall chance of winning and remaining units is terribly inadequate for serious play :-)

Jeez, I sure lucked out in 98…. Figured they would both whiff. Those cruisers also both hit on bombardment - wow - major over-achievement :-)
